PMOG.com is a popular browser-based game under the Passively Multiplayer Online Game category.

PMOG started as Masters Thesis of Justin Hall, a USC student under Interactive Media Division Program.
It was developed by other members like Duncan Gough, Merci Victoria Grace, Alice Taylor and Phil Gyford.
It was developed by GameLayers, Inc. and now known as Nethernet.
PMOG was nominated as Massively Multiplayer Game of the Year in Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS)'s 12th annual awards last February 19, 2009.

It is playable and running effectively on Firefox and Flock. Before you can star playing, you only need to download and install the add-on from PMOG website or Mozilla Website.
Now you will notice some few features the browser add-on toolbar offers:
1. "P" rise-up menu which contains Login, Sign-out and some other basic things a "Pmogger" needs.
2. a mini-photo which links to your profile on PMOG.
3. an image wearing a black-hat which contains the associations.
4. a bar with colors blue and yellow which represents your level.
5. Instant Messenger Link.
6. Lighposts which allows you to create missions.
7. Portals which allows you to display your portal.
8. Crates which allows you to gain reputation.
9. Mines which allows you to destroy other PMOG players armor or datapoints.
9. Armor which allows protection from mines.
10. Datapoints which can be accumulated when visiting websites or from crates.
11. Eye link which allows you to pause the game
12. Hide menu which allows you to hide the PMOG Toolbar

There are currently 9 associations:
1. Shoats - assigned on sign-up or i call this "beginner's association".
2. Benefactors - they leave crates with wonderful gifts on different websites.
3. Seers - they leave portals on different websites to send you to wonderful website.
4. Destroyers - they leave mines to destroy armors or datapoints.
5. Pathmakers - they are lightpost droppers and create multiple missions.
6. Vigilantes - they attach St. Nicks to destroyers to nullify mine dropping.
7. Bedouins - armor specialist that can take alot of mines.
8. Riverters - create walls so that websites could not be mined.
9. Granadiers - create holes on walled websites.
There are also badges that certifies a player's greatness and how good you play the game.
