2. Interlink and Cross-Brand Intelligently. For example, you got a blog and a sidebar you can link it to pages but you should link this on your main navigation bar.
3. Don't just cover the news but make it. You need to become the source of the news don't just cover the news to get more and more traffic.
4. Build Blogosphere Relationships. It can be a good way of gaining links and they can help you gain more popularity or convert them into regular readers of your blog.
5. Don't Keyword Cannabalize. If you have a site and a blog don't target the same keyword. Your main site should not be outranked by your blog.
