Imageshack Image Hosting, founded in November 2003 by Jack Levin (an early Google Employee), is a Los Gatos, California-based and fifth largest image hosting website on the internet powered by Linux Server Network serving more than 2.5 billion images per day.

Account Creation on Imageshack is totally free allowing registered users to track and delete uploaded images. Users are not required to create an account and allows anonymous uploads onto the image servers.
Users are only allowed to upload images lower than 1.53 megabytes (MB) whose file formats are jpg, jpeg, png, gif, bmp, tif and tiff.
Uploaded images can be automatically resized during the upload process. Uploaded images are preformatted for usage on websites and forums (2 versions).
In June 2008, typosquatters used fake imageshack websites to deliver and spread malware and links using instant messengers (IM).
In April 2008, Imageshack has released the beta version of their Torrent Drive. Torrent Drive allows downloading of torrent files onto the imageshack servers. After the download is finished, users can download it via an http.
In September 2008, it was found that new malware and spam attacks are exploiting imageshack as part of their new tactics.
In November 2008, Imageshack raised a $15 million backing from Silicon Valley's venture firm Sequioa Capital.
Today, imageshack hosting offers a special service that allows uploading of unlimited amounts of images on Friendster Profiles.
ImageShack Tstart is a section that offers download of ImageShack Toolbar available in versions for Internet Explorer and Firefox (both Windows and Mac).
The Imageshack Blog offers a good photoblogging feature with their Flipbook, an application (app) that shows random images from your photoblog account on imageshack.us.
